Shishito peppers are a delicious side dish that are best eaten sautéed in oil until they begin to brown, turn the heat off, and then add soy sauce. Another favorite way to cook them is sauté the peppers in oil, once they begin to brown as pictured above, you can add a spoonful of miso, a tablespoon of maple syrup, and some sriracha. Cook until everything is mixed together, let cool, and serve. Cook with the whole pepper intact. This is a finger food, pick up the pepper by the stem to eat!
