Week #10
This week we are grateful for some sunny days. The half share includes: salad mix, a yellow onion, a garlic bulb, basil, a jalapeño pepper, a handful of heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, sweet peppers, head lettuce, and yellow potatoes.
Heirloom tomatoes are perfect for a vibrant, full-flavored gazpacho. Today, our lovely friend Deirdre cooked up a scrumptious lunch: gazpacho, roasted potatoes, homemade kraut, and a tomato, mozzarella, basil panini. All parts of this meal come highly recommended. Honestly, I think the gazpacho must be a secret recipe, but if you look up a recipe for gazpacho online, I’m certain you will be pleased with the results - it’s all about trusting the ingredients, which we know are fresh and delicious!
So much of what we do wouldn’t be possible without this lovely farmer, Denis Boudreau. The procurer of the land, the guardian of the plants, the father of the farmer and the engineer, the grandfather of our future, the artist, the maker, the man behind the scenes. We thank you for being the seed that helped us grow this abundant feast.
