Week #9
This week’s half share: red potatoes, green cabbage, zucchini, shishito peppers, fresh garlic, cucumbers, basil, and an Heirloom tomato.
Last season Sarah made our family the most delicious roasted cabbage. Now it is one of our favorite dishes! It wouldn’t hurt to add some of that fresh garlic to the mix, too!
Freshly harvested garlic is a real treat. The flavor and texture is completely varied from cured garlic. It is quite delicious shaved and served raw on toasted baguette.
Heirloom tomatoes are such an awesome change-up from the regular old red tomato you see at the grocery store. Try out one of our specially selected favorite types! A perfect pair for your fresh basil. And for you pesto lovers, this week will serve you well!
