Beautiful broccoli again this week. Feast on this veggie, it doesn’t often come this early in the season. Scallions, too, are a treat, amongst other things. We’re fortunate to have so much variety because of the early plantings done in our two high tunnels.

We are savoring our broccoli and scallions with this delicious homemade pizza. A very last minute dish for dinner tonight. Using a Quick Pizza Dough Recipe from NYT Cooking, we prepared, cooked, and had ready-to-eat pizza in less than an hour!

Hakurei turnips, aka salad turnips. Definitely in the top tier of favorite veggies amongst the farmers. You can catch us eating these turnips like apples! So mildly sweet, refreshing, crisp, crunchy, yet soft too. We enjoy them raw, mostly because we eat them before we have a chance to cook them. Like a radish, they are lovely in salads, roasts, stir frys, etc. You may even want to try grilled romaine with some fresh chopped turnips on top! So yum, another NYT recipe on how to grill romaine!Wishing you all a lovely, cooler week! See you this weekend :)
