Kohlrabi may be a new vegetable to you and your family. It is a great addition raw to salads, slaws, or dips. Reminiscent of cabbage in flavor, yet slightly sweeter and more of a turnip in texture, kohlrabi is delicious in stir fry’s and veggie dishes. For some extra inspiration, check out TheKitchn’s 10 Tasty Ways to Prepare Kohlrabi.

Kale! Yes, we love kale. Not everyone loves kale as it comes, but if you can be a little creative, we bet you can have anyone enjoying it! Kale chips are a total favorite, sauteed kale with soy sauce, kale in smoothies (if you freeze the kale first it blends better), kale chopped up and mixed in just about any dish. Parade has the perfect list of recipes for anyone who needs some help serving up kale for everyone.

Garlic scapes are a great fresh replacement for garlic in dishes, while we patiently await the garlic bulbs to be ready! A homemade pesto made with garlic scapes is lovely, use up the greens on your salad turnips in there, too! Wishing you all a beautiful weekend and week ahead. The fields are full and lush, the tomatoes are chugging along and we bask in all that the summer has to offer.
