The days are getting hotter and we’re gearing up for more to come, as we water as often as possible and hope for rain. This week we share: Pac Choi, Rainbow Chard, garlic scapes, head lettuce, radishes, broccoli leaves, zucchini/summer squash, and salad turnips.

Garlic Scapes are fantastic. Think spring onions, except garlic flavored! Use scapes just as you would garlic. We enjoy them in pesto. Pesto can be made with any type of green (i.e. turnip greens, broccoli leaves, Pac Choi, etc).

This week we took the plastic off our high tunnel for the first time in 8 years! Our zucchini and summer squash plants are vibrant and early potato plants are about to bloom. We’re excited for the wide variety of vegetables we will be able to offer (fingers crossed!) this season because of our early greenhouse plantings. Enjoy this week’s share and be sure to check out all of the additional delicious offerings we have in the stand!
